In Lucknow, a member of the State Women's Commission named Priyanka Maurya was targeted by unidentified prank callers seeking personal information. She reported the incident to the Krishnanagar police station, claiming that the callers impersonated the personal assistants of the chief minister's principal secretary and the DM of Unnao. Priyanka suspected that political opponents were attempting to tarnish her reputation through deceptive tactics. An investigation has been launched based on her complaint, which detailed the two separate calls she received on September 9 and September 30. The first caller claimed to be the DM's PA and asked for personal information, while the second caller, impersonating the chief minister's principal secretary's PA, mentioned a forthcoming significant responsibility. Priyanka took the matter seriously and reported it to the police. The Deputy Commissioner of Police for the South Zone, Keshav Kumar, confirmed that an FIR had been filed, and an inquiry was underway.
